Garment Care

COTTON

  • Wash in cold (30°C or below) water, whether using a washing machine or washing by hand.

  • Give garments a gentle stretch when they come out of the wash to get them back into shape.

  • Always air dry: dry clothes flat and out of the sun if possible.

  • If you have an item that you know is prone to more than 10% shrinkage, hand washes it in cold water.

  • Do not scratch your nails on the fabric

  • Iron the product at a warm temperature, not over 148” C.

SILK

  • Silk - the strongest natural textile in the world, produced from a silkworm. This is a light, durable and insulated texture with natural shiny color.

  • Wash by hand.

  • Washing with gentle detergent, do not rub vigorously.

  • Do not scratch your nails on the fabric

  • Iron the product at a warm temperature, not over 148” C.

DRAPEY CREPE

  • This is a lightweight drapey crepe fabric with a dry hand feel - 53% viscose, 47% rayon.

  • Rayon is a manufactured fiber made from natural sources and agricultural products that are regenerated as cellulose fiber. There are many types and grades of rayon that can imitate the feel and texture of natural fibers such as silk, wool, cotton, and linen.

  • Viscose crepe is a lovely quality viscose that has lots of weight and drape.

  • Gentle wash with cold water

  • Iron not over 148”c

CHIFFON

  • Polyester chiffon and nylon chiffon can be hand washed or washed in the washing machine gently.

  • Use a mild, gentle detergent.

  • Wash with cold water and soak for 30 minutes.

  • Do not wring.

  • Lay flat.

  • Don't put in the sun.

LINEN

  • Linen becomes softer and more absorbent after each wash, which is pretty neat.

  • Wash linen at low temperatures in lukewarm or cold, and preferably soft, water. Use the gentle machine cycle and a mild detergent to protect the fibers.

  • There really is no need to iron linen garments, unless they have become really crushed.

  • If you need to iron, iron while the fabric is still damp.

  • Use a medium-hot iron on the steam setting.

  • White linen is better ironed on both sides, whilst dark linen should be pressed only on the reverse side.
